The Military Held Up My Pay. Next Week, My Kids and I will be Homeless

My Story:

I am a single father of four children. My two sons, ages 10 and 7, currently reside with me. My oldest daughter, age 19, is in college, and is currently in the process of moving back in with me. My youngest daughter, who is 11, is living in Arizona with her mother as a result of our divorce in 2015. I am work full-time as a teacher and am also in the process of returning to school on post to complete my degree in Psychology.

My income enables me to meet my financial obligations each month, but does not make it possible for me to set up any emergency savings. Due to some delays with a military benefit my family relies on each month, as well as a period of missed work without pay at my job, I have fallen short on my bills over the last couple of months. Our biggest problem is our rent. We're two months behind and will be evicted on May 15th if we can't find a way to catch up.

I am asking for Modest Needs' help to me catch up with our rent. I am worried that my kids and I will lose our home if we do not find help as soon as possible. I have been keeping the lines of communication open with my property manager and landlord, regarding the issues with the DFAS and my payroll, but I worry they will not be able to give me much more time to resolve this before filing for eviction.

Your help will put us back on schedule with all of our bills and will prevent us from facing the terrible possibility of homelessness. As a father, I simply want to be able to provide my kids with everything they need, and your help would allow me to continue doing so. We really need a miracle, and your help is truly appreciated.
