Facing Eviction after Falling Behind on Rent During Temp Period of Unemployment

My Story:

I am a 32-year-old single woman, working full-time for the county. I have graduated college, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Although I am a full-time worker, I am in the process of trying to recover from a period of unemployment that went on for three months, and only ended this past Fall.

In June of 2016, I lost my job and struggled for the next three months to find a new one. Although I am glad to have steady work, I fell badly behind on my bills before I was hired by my current job. I have been doing all I can to catch up, but I still owe rental arrears and fear I will lose my home if I do not seek help.

I am asking for Modest Needs to help me pay the back rent I still owe for my apartment. I am going to be evicted if I do not pay this in full soon, but I am only earning enough to live paycheck to paycheck, which does not leave me with any way to pay both past and current rental costs at the same time.

This funding will bring me current with my apartment management, and save me from eviction. This would be such a great help and would make a world of change in my life. I want to thank you in advance for any help- it would truly be a blessing.
