Family Needs Mortgage Help due to Recent Medical Expenses
My Story:
I am a married father of two boys, ages 9 and 12. Both of my sons are full of energy and bring lots of joy and excitement to our family. My 9-year-old suffers from a chronic illness that has affected him for the past 3 years. It has been very difficult for us to watch him struggle. My wife has worked as a nurse for 20 years, and absolutely loved her job. She has been unable to work for a little over a year due to multiple medical conditions that have been challenging to diagnose and treat. I work as a Carpenter and do all I can to take care of my family.
We've recently had to travel for several medical appointments for my wife, and have incurred a number of medical bills which required for us to pay for large portions out-of-pocket, in addition to the already high amounts we pay for in insurance premiums.
I am asking for help with our past-due mortgage payment. We had so many medical expenses hit us at the same time, putting us in a position where we had to choose between paying for heat/utilities and our mortgage. We are now behind on our house payment, and worried that we could lose our home if we do not get back on track soon.
Your assistance will bring us current with our household bills again and will restore our sense of stability. We are working to lease out a room in our home, to help us cover the costs of medical expenses going forward. We hope that, if my wife can get all of her medical treatments, she will be well enough to return to the job she loves so much.
