Returning to Work after Unexpected Job Loss: Urgent Rent Help Needed

My Story:

I am a single woman, living alone with my dog Jax, whom I love more than life! I have always been on my own, and as a result, am an extremely self-sufficient person. This makes it very hard for me to now be in a position where I need to ask for help.

I recently moved back to New Hampshire from Florida, leaving my job of 11 years in order to be there for my sister and her newborn baby. I started a job at an electric company, but was let go unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving when I accidentally hung up on a customer. The customer made public complaints on social media, and I was terminated as a result of the misunderstanding. This was particularly tough for me, following a move and then occurring right before the holidays. I am thankful to have just recently started a new job, but the loss of income I encountered while out of work set me behind on bills. I will not have a full paycheck in time to cover my rent, which is past-due, and now fear I will lose my home.

I am asking for Modest Needs' help to pay my outstanding rent balance. As I've said, I have always been on my own and always managed to be a financially stable person. I am worried that I will become homeless due to this temporary and unexpected situation if I do not find help, as difficult as it is for me to have to ask for it.

Your assistance will take away the worry over becoming homeless, and relieve a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety. I do not have anywhere else to turn, and cannot begin to express just how much your help would mean to me. I am truly thankful for your time and consideration.
