Mom of 3 Going Through Divorce: Please Help Us with Rent
My Story:
I am a single mom of three beautiful daughters, ages 5, 3, and 2. My oldest has started school and is thriving! My middle child is very strong willed, and has been under evaluation for Asperger's. That does not stop her from enjoying life, bringing joy to others, and teaching us about new things! My youngest is just a bundle of pure love and sweetness. She gets spoiled by everyone in the family, including her older sisters! I am a makeup artist, working full-time for a cosmetics brand and taking on freelance work at events whenever it is possible.
I am currently going through a divorce with my children's father, and this has caused some financial setbacks. I used to be available to work anytime, but now that I have no one to watch the kids for me, it limits my ability to work outside of the hours my girls are in daycare. This provides me with all day, but I cannot work evenings at my main job or take on many independent projects. I am looking to find a way to find a second supplemental job that works around my daughters' daycare hours, but these schedule limitations make it a slow and difficult process. The divorce process, and loss of evening hours at work have left me struggling to keep up with some of my bills, and I would be grateful if I could receive some help to get things back in order.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help with our rent this month. This is my largest and most important bill, and I fear that my children and I will face eviction if I do not find assistance.
Your help would do so much for us by keeping a roof over our heads while I look for work I can do to replace the evening hours I lost at my retail job. I already have submitted several resumes and applications, and I am confident that this one-time help will stabilize my financial situation during this difficult adjustment period as a newly-single parent.
