In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I appreciate that someone remembered me and the many others just getting by. For many years, I felt that it was a weakness to ask for help when I needed it, but as I become more savvy with the ways of the world, I realize it's foolish not to ask for help when you need it. Single Worker Needs Help to Replace Unsafe Tires
My Story:
I am single and live alone. I have a Bachelor's degree in communications and work full-time as the Managing Editor of two magazines, and also have a part-time job with a retail store. Even though I work full-time I live from paycheck to paycheck, and struggle to pay for anything outside of my regularly-scheduled bills and expenses. My work has me constantly driving to interviews and photo shoots, so having a reliable vehicle is incredibly important.
It is hard for me to admit I need help, but in the interest of taking care of myself and honoring my responsibilities, I need to ask for help this time. Normally, I would cut back on groceries to come up with the money needed to pay for an unexpected expense, but this expense is too large for that to work this time.
I am asking for assistance to replace the tires on my car. They have reached an unsafe level of tread and now that icy conditions are occurring, I need to replace them as soon as possible. My job requires that I drive 9- miles each way every couple of months to work on my other magazine, and I need to have safe, reliable transportation to do that. I fear that if I pay for this expense right now, I will fall short on one of my bills, and face a loss of stability.
If you are able to grant me this help to purchase new tires for my vehicle, I will be able to start the new year without worry. It would be a huge relief to know I have a safe car to drive this winter, and that I will be able to remain current with my rent and other bills at the same time. I really appreciate any help that could come my way, because as previously stated, I have a very hard time asking for assistance, and do not know where else I could turn.
