Mom Needs Mortgage Help due to Teenage Daughter's Medical Care Costs
My Story:
I am a mother of two amazing kids, and would do anything for them! My daughter and I live together at our home in Georgia, and my son attends college 45 minutes away. I am married, but my husband currently lives in Florida. We've been married for four years, but I have been unable to relocate due to my kids needing me here. My daughter, now in her senior year at high school, will finally be going off to college next year. She plans to attend the same university as my son. Once she is in college, I will finally be able to move to Florida to join my very patient and understanding husband.
I used to work in a corporate job, but lost my employment five years ago while I was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer. After that, I chose to work for myself. I now work as a contractor from home. Although my earnings are not as high, I enjoy being my own boss. I ordinarily am able to earn enough to cover our basic bills and expenses, but encountered hardship when my daughter was diagnosed with Endometriosis and had additional related health issues. Due to paying the out-of-pocket costs for my daughter's specialized tests (MRI HIDA scan, etc), as well as paying for expensive whole foods for my daughter's medically-prescribed diet to help improve her liver enzyme levels, I fell behind on my bills.
I am asking for Modest Needs help with our mortgage. Right now, I do not know how I am going to manage. It feels like I am about to go through the same financial devastation I went through five years ago when I was hit with numerous medical bills for my cancer treatments. I am worried that we could eventually lose our home if I do not find some help to keep our heads above water while I am paying for these medical bills.
This funding would be a tremendous help to us, and allow us to see a light at the end of the tunnel. My daughter is currently undergoing a hormonal therapy that has been very helpful to her, and is experiencing much less pain. She is able to attend school with regularity, and is able to balance her studies with her therapies and treatments. Your help would mean the world to us and will put us back on the road to stability! I hope to be able to return in the near future as a donor and help others.
