Lost Income Due to Recent Hospitalization: Please Help Us Keep Our Car

My Story:

I am married to my husband of 13 years. I take care of him due to his disability. I am a hardworking person, who has held a full-time job, gone to school for medical coding, and been the sole income-earner in the household. I handle all of the bills, errands, and cleaning on top of work and school. I think I overextended myself, because a few months ago I became very sick and was in and out of the hospital with ulcers and other serious health issues. I missed quite a bit of work in the process, and have not yet managed to get back on track financially.

I am asking for Modest Needs' help to catch up with my vehicle payment. I use my car to care for my husband, and need it for my job. If I lose my car, I'm sunk. When you are the only person who is able to work and earn income, getting sick can be a disaster. I tried to work while sick, but only became sicker and could not help but take some time off. The financial struggle has made me feel very emotional and depressed. I just want to be able to take care of my husband and myself. We do not have any family that can help us or anyone we can rely on for rides if we lose our car.

Your assistance would be such a huge blessing to us. I have always told myself I can't get sick because I need to take care of my husband, but it happened and now I am in need of help to get things back in order. We've always tried to pay it forward, and this experience will inspire us to do as much as we can to help other people in any way we can.
