We want to thank you for funding our request for assistance. This past year has been a roller coaster ride with my husband being in the hospital. He made it through and has been on the mend for some time now. This funding makes us realize there still are good people in the world. With all the negative things you hear on the news this is a ray of sunshine for us. We have had some hospital bills even with good insurance. This funding has been a great gift. Husband Hospitalized Unexpectedly: Family Needs Help to Keep Utilities Connected
My Story:
We are a married couple with a wonderful 10-year-old son. Our son loves playing piano and being in Cub Scouts. He enjoys reading and is passionate about music. We have a French Bulldog named Minnie, and our son helps to take care of her. My husband works full-time at a manufacturing plant, and I am currently seeking employment outside of the home.
We have always managed to meet our monthly bills, but we are now struggling due to an unforeseen financial setback we encountered when my husband encountered serious health issues that forced him to take short-term disability leave from his job. Earlier this year, my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized with the flu. At the same time, we learned he had an infection in his leg that became septic. It was touch and go for a while. We was in the hospital for a few months, then was sent to a rehab center for another two weeks to regain use of his leg.
We need to request Modest Needs' help with our overdue electric bill. We do not want to have our service disconnected, or fall behind on other bills while working to catch up with the utilities. The loss of income, and medical bills, as well as a recent car repair have put us in a position where we cannot cover all of our bills, and we fear without help this month, we will soon be without essential utilities.
Your assistance would allow us to catch up and feel a little more secure. This help will get us back on the right track, and lift a burden off of us. Your kindness would have a great impact on our family, and it would mean so much to us to know that there are still great, helpful people in the world, and that they reached out to us when we had a temporary challenge we could not overcome on our own.
