My Story:
I am married with 2 small growing boys. My oldest son is 7 years old and he loves to help people, and my 4-year-old son is very shy and loving. Both of my boys love to play outside and make people laugh. I just started a new job and my husband works as a cook in a restaurant. We are living from paycheck to paycheck as the company I was working for, before the start of my new job, ended abruptly causing over a month's worth of pay to be lost. We normally have a back up plan, but we are fairly new to the area and have been having a hard time with getting everything together. The timing of things was very off and inconvenient, and has left us behind on our electric bill.
I am asking Modest Needs for help with our light bill. We have paid this down as much as we can, and I have contacted every local agency seeking help but have either not been contacted back or told there is no assistance at this time. I am worried that if this bill isn't paid our lights will be shut off, my insulin will not be properly stored, and that my kids will be suffer the most.
This funding will bring everything current and ensure my babies will not suffer. It will be a great burden off of my chest and allow for me to breath easy. My family and I will work at trying to get the bill lower, and work on saving for anything that might happen again. It will help my family to know that there are people out there who really care, and will encourage them to help others when they can.
