Mom Needs Help with Electric Bill after Unexpected Car Repair Cost
My Story:
I am a single mom of a 2-year-old little girl, and I also have been raising my 15-year-old nephew since he was about 3. I work full-time for a social services program, and also attend school full time for a degree in Information Technology. I am in my final year of college.
I try hard to make ends meet, and usually manage everything okay. However, my car recently needed a brake repair, and this unexpected expense threw me off of my budget and left me unable to pay the electric bill.
I am asking for Modest Needs to help me catch up with the electric bill. I have just barely managed to prevent disconnection, and I am afraid I will face shut off again soon if I do not receive help. With the temperatures becoming colder, this is particularly frightening for me, and I do not want my kids to have to deal with something like that.
This funding will help to alleviate the financial difficulty that has followed my unexpected car repair. I do not like asking for help, but I am at a loss as to what else I can do. I just hope that if I am lucky enough to receive the help I need at this time, I will be able to pay it forward and help someone else in the near future.
