Single Mom Facing Utility Disconnection After Paying for Car Repairs

My Story:

I am a single mother, and my son has just started his first year of school as a Pre-K student. He's very excited about his new teachers and friends. I work in security at the local casino. We do live paycheck to paycheck, but are usually able to make ends meet. Recently we've really fallen on hard times after having to pay for issues and repairs with our car. I had been trying to get my car fixed for most of this year, and was finally able to provide my son and I with reliable transportation in order to get myself to and from work, and to get my son to school, my mother's house, and his various doctor's appointments. My son is currently seeing 6 specialists every 6 months due to his genetic disorder, Klippel Trenaunay Weber Syndromem, so being able to take him as needed to the doctors is critical for me. However, dealing with all of the car issues and repairs have set me behind on my electric bill.

I am turning to Modest Needs for help with with my electric bill. I don't know what we will do if our power is shut off. I am trying so hard to take care of my son and we just need a little help right now.

This funding will allow me to get back to financial stability and to continue to support my son. It would mean so much to us and we appreciate any help you are able to offer.
