We Need Help with Utilities after Temporary Gap in Employment
My Story:
I am divorced work full-time as a nurse. My 21-year-old daughter lives with me while attending trade school full-time. Prior to beginning my current job, I spent two months unemployed.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help to catch up with my utility bill. I struggled to keep up with the charges after becoming unemployed, but did not qualify for any assistance programs because that help is only available in winter months. I have only received one paycheck since beginning my new job, and I am not able to catch up with the utilities in time to prevent a service disconnection. I am worried that I will not be able to cook, store food, wash clothes, or have lights/electronics working for my daughter to use when studying.
If you can assist me with the utility bill, I will be able to get back on my feet and pay it on time going forward. This funding will allow me to focus on my new job and my daughter to focus on her school work.
