Facing Utility Shut Off after Paying for Medical Bill
My Story:
I am single and have two beautiful cats that were strays, but decided to adopt me. My brother is a dialysis patient, and is currently staying in my home with me. I work full-time and live modestly. I take the bus to work everyday.
I am able to afford my bills, but began having trouble when I was hospitalized for 9 days due to blood loss. The numerous medical bills that followed have followed created a financial strain I could not have seen coming. I have made payment arrangements to the best of my ability, but these added expenses have made it difficult for me to keep up with some of my regular monthly bills. The stress has left me feeling upset and in tears, trying to figure out which bills I can afford.
I am requesting Modest Needs' help to catch up with my overdue electric bill. I am afraid the utilities will be turned off, and I will not be able to provide the care and support my brother needs. These medical bills have put me in such a bad spot with finances, but this help to catch up with my utilities will take some of the pressure off of me and help me get back on track.
Your assistance would restore some of the peace of mind I've lost due to the medical bills, and relieve me of the worry that comes with knowing my utilities could be disconnected soon. I really appreciate any help you may be able to provide.
