Temporarily Lost Income While Changing Jobs: Please Help Me Catch Up with Rent

My Story:

I am a single mother to an 8-year-old autistic son. My son is very bright and outgoing; he doesn't let his disability limit him. I work full-time in a chemistry laboratory.

While I generally earn enough to meet all of our bills, I left one job in early May, and began another later in the month. I missed a week of pay while switching companies, and although it may not seem like a significant income loss to some, it is tough for me because I live paycheck to paycheck and do not have any financial cushion.

I am asking for Modest Needs' help with my rent, which is currently late. I spoke to my property manager about the situation, but she is only able to give me a couple extra weeks of time to resolve the outstanding rent I owe.

This funding will help tremendously by allowing me to get back on track financially. Being a single mom without any other form of financial assistance, this job transition has been tough. I am trying to figure out how to take on a second, part-time job to build up savings so I can avoid this type of stress in the future. Your assistance would lift a huge burden off of me, and I would appreciate it greatly.
