Dad Needs Help with Utilities After Temporary Period of Unemployment
My Story:
I am married and have one child. My son is 8-years-old and has special needs relating to his autism. In order to address his specific needs, my wife is a stay at home parent, and I work full-time to support my family.
In April, I lost my job and struggled to find work again. I have just started a new job, but the income is lower than my previous earnings. After spending more than two months without a paycheck, we've fallen behind on all of our expenses, and it is not possible for me to catch up with everything at once.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help to catch up with our utilities. We no longer have home access to cable and internet, and for my son, who loves his Disney shows, it is difficult for him to understand why he cannot watch them. I am very worried our power will be turned off, and we will not have any lights, air conditioning, or be able to have food in the refrigerator. I do not want my son to go through that, and I am hoping that you will be able to help us prevent our utilities from being disconnected.
Your assistance will get things back on track for us, and will take away a lot of stress. I do not like having to ask for help, but I know my family needs it. We are very thankful for any help we may receive.
