Family In Danger of Car Repossession after Work-Related Injury Cased Loss of Income
My Story:
I am a married mom with two beautiful kids, ages 16 and 6. My husband and I are both full-time workers, but a large burden has fallen on me since my husband was injured while working and had to take leave from his job. He has just begun receiving a decreased income through workman's compensation, but the loss of income, as well as the delays with his compensation have put us behind on our most important bills.
We've managed to keep up with our mortgage and utilities, but we have only been able to do so by missing our last couple of car payments. We are now in danger of losing our car, and we will be without any transportation if that happens.
We are asking for Modest Needs to help us get caught up with our vehicle payments. Now that my husband has some compensation, we should be able to maintain once we're on the right track. However, if we do not find a way to resolve the outstanding balance, we will face repossession. Without our car, we will not be able to go to work, medical appointments, or get our kids to their activities. This unforeseen situation has put us in a terrible bind, and reaching out for help is all we can do at this point.
This funding will help us tremendously and give us back our peace of mind. My husband has surgery on his shoulder scheduled and scheduled, and I have been so worried about how I will manage to miss work and take care of him as he recovers. Your help will greatly ease the stress and allow me to take care of my family. I have been working overtime whenever it is possible, but it just has not been enough to get us over this hump. Your assistance would truly make a difference for us, and we would not be able to ever thank you enough for that.
