Divorced Mom Needs Utility Help after Car Accident Caused Her to Miss Work
My Story:
I am a divorced, single mom of two beautiful girls. My 13-year-old daughter is a bright, mature young lady with a wonderful heart, and my 7-year-old is full of energy and personality! They lived with their father following the divorce, while I was attending school for Culinary Arts. I have since completed my education, and my girls are now living with me full-time. We love our home and community, and we are glad to have a bright future ahead of us!
Right around Easter, shortly after my girls moved in with me, I was involved in a car accident. My car was totaled and I missed several days of work as a result. I had only been working for a short time before the accident, and had not been able to build up a lot of financial stability. Those missed days, combined with the bills from my accident, have caused a very troubling financial setback for me, and I am just trying to get back on my feet and provide a secure home for my girls.
I am asking for Modest Needs' Help with the past-due utilities. I have been trying to catch up with everything, but I could not cover everything at once. The utilities will be shut off soon, and I need to find a way to prevent this from happening.
If you can assist me with this one bill, I will be able to get back on track again, and more importantly, not have my daughters experience a loss of utilities in the hot summer months. This would take a lot of worry from me and allow me to be fully present with my daughters. I would be so grateful for your help!
