Wow. I'm speechless. Any time you ask for help it's tough. You want to be able to do everything for your kids on your own. I'm learning asking for help is ok. My sweet, bubbly, almost 18 months old is so incredibly amazing. She's a fighter, who fought through an high risk pregnancy only to be born with eye conditions that were hereditary. We are so thankful to those who give onto other people so selflessly. This surgery will change her future and her mama couldn't be more grateful. The money will not only help fund the surgery, but it takes the stress off of me so I can focus on her and her recovery. It means the world. Thank you isn't enough, but it's all I have.
Mom Needs Help to Pay for Toddler's Eye Surgery
My Story:
I am a single mom to a beautiful 17-month-old girl. She is smart, funny, fearless, and so well behaved. She loves Doc McStuffins and Mickey Mouse Club House. I work a full-time job in administration at a major resort.
I live paycheck to paycheck. We always have what we need, but there is not much left over once the bills are paid. My daughter was born with eye conditions, and they have gotten worse in the past few months. She has been battling exotropia, astigmatism, and hypermetropia in both of her eyes, and she needs to have eye surgery. Those are fancy ways to say the muscles behind her eyes are not properly functioning. While I do have health insurance, there is still a large out of pocket expense that I just can't afford.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help to pay for my daughter's surgery. Her eyes have gotten worse in the past 6 months, and I do not want for her development to be delayed. This surgery will help fix the eye muscles that are not tight or are misaligned, and there is a high chance her eyes will be completely fixed and she will not need any additional surgery after!
Your help will allow my daughter to use her eyes like other kids. She will be able to focus when she starts school, and will have improved vision and coordination. Your assistance in funding her eye surgery would change my daughter's life in a huge and positive way. This would mean the world to me!
