Veteran Needs Help with Family's Utility Bill after Missing Work for Health Reasons
My Story:
I am a retired military member with a disability rating. I am employed full-time, but have been dealing with medical issues beyond my control. I have had to miss a lot of work for health reasons, and as the sole provider for my family, this is taking toll on us financially. My wife is unable to work due to a medical condition that prevents her from driving and holding down a job. I do not have any disability coverage through my place of employment, so I do not receive pay when I have to take time off from my job.
I am asking for Modest Needs to help us with our electric bill. It is very stressful to be falling behind on our bills while I am unwell, and I fear our utilities will be disconnected soon.
Your help will ease our minds and lift a lot of worry and stress off of our household. This will help me focus on my health and give my family a better sense of stability.
