Single Mom Facing Gas Disconnection; Please Help

My Story:

I am a single mother of an amazing 10-year-old boy. My son is a very outspoken, outgoing person who loves to help others. With me being a social worker he takes after my natural caring nature. My son and I are all we have in the world, but we make an awesome team. I thank God everyday that I have such an amazing young boy. Recently I had to switch jobs due to the demands of my previous position, and not being able to provide adequate care to my son. As a result of this I experienced a temporary loss of income between the two jobs. We have been able to make ends meet, and I budget very well. However, during this past winter season my gas bill skyrocketed and I have no idea how I am going to pay it. I usually am able to handle the monthly bill, but with my temporary income loss I do not have the extra money to cover this high bill. I am in desperate need of assistance with this payment.

I am asking Modest Needs to help me afford my gas bill. Money is extremely tight right now. I have already cut some important expenses, and after I pay rent, electric, phone, car payment and car insurance my pay check is basically gone. I then have to budget the rest of the money for food, gas to get to work and my student loan. I am trying the best I can with no help from family or friends, but I am reaching out for assistance now.

Please help us. My son and I receiving this funding will drastically improve our quality of life. We will not have to live without heat and hot water and will able to budget for our bills and pay them in a timely fashion going forward. Thank you!
