Hardworking Dad Needs Rent Help due to New Baby's Prolonged Hospitalization
My Story:
I am the proud father of an awesome 5-year-old boy and a 1-month-old baby boy. My wife is an amazing woman, and we love spending time outdoors together as a family. I am a self-employed arborist and I work full-time to support my little family. Our new baby arrived a month early, and while we did our very best to financially plan for his arrival, we experienced some unexpected difficulties.
Before our son was born, we learned that he had an atresia, or a blockage, in his intestine and would need to undergo surgery after birth. We took time to educate ourselves, so we could be as prepared as possible for this, but the month long hospitalization has caused our savings to run out. Our baby has been at the children's hospital in Seattle recovering, so I have been out of town and unable to work for the last few weeks. The additional medical expenses and the unplanned time I took off from working have put a major strain on our budget, and while I did everything I could to try to mitigate this situation, I am having trouble keeping up with our usual expenses this month.
I am asking for Modest Needs' help with our rent. I have a hard time asking for help, but I have never been in this position before, and I realize I need to do this for my family. I need to have a good stable home for my kids, and I can't make up for all the missed work in time to make the rent payment. It is so stressful to know my family could face eviction, and I would be so grateful for this one-time help which will put us back on our feet as I return to work.
Your assistance would make all the difference for us during this challenging time for our family. We have had so many sleepless nights, worrying about our new baby, and now how we will catch up with our bills. Your help will bring us a much needed sense of security and restore our peace of mind. I will be able to let go of some worry, so I can focus on my family when they need me the most. I am forever grateful for your thoughtful consideration, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
