In Need of Rent Help after Loss of Father
My Story:
I live with my fiancé and 9-year-old daughter. My daughter is in the fourth grade, and is a really great kid. We also have two 6-month-old puppies. My fiancé and I were expecting a second child, but I just suffered a miscarriage at what is already an extremely challenging time for our family.
My father, who had been living with us due to numerous health problems, recently passed away. I had to take responsibility for his final arrangements, and the funeral costs have been very hard on us financially. We live paycheck to paycheck, and these unexpected costs have caused us to fall behind with our other bills.
We are asking for Modest Needs to help us with our late rent payment. I have tried contacting other agencies, but none have been able to do anything for us. I am afraid that we will be evicted from our home, and I need to find a way to resolve this before we're in that position.
My fiancé has recently found a new job, and should be starting soon. If you can assist us with our rent, we will be able to get back on our feet and build better stability for the future.
