Mortgage Help for Veteran/Father of 4 Awaiting Disability Compensation

My Story:

We are a family of six. I am a veteran with 10 tours to Southwest Asia in support of OEF/OOIF. My fiancée is a wonderful lady, and a mother of two children. I also have two children from a previous relationship. All four of our kids love sports, and they are involved in football, basketball, cheerleading, and soccer. I work full-time at the local VA hospital, and my wife is employed at a car dealership.

We are a hardworking family, and we live within our means. However, we have had a tough time making the adjustment to a civilian lifestyle. I am currently experiencing a delay with the VA's processing of my compensation claims, and we have fallen short on some of our bills as a result of the income delay.

We are asking Modest Needs to help us with our mortgage. I have PTSD and anxiety disorder, and I have had a hard time handling the stress that comes with falling behind on your family's most important expense. If we do not find help, we will be in danger of losing our home. We also do not know how we will be able to celebrate Christmas this year.

Your help will bring us current with our bill and put us back in a stable position. We will be able to let go of some stress, and enjoy the holiday season with our kids. This act of kindness would have a lasting impact on our family, and we would never forget what this means to us. It would show us that there are people out there who care and are willing to help veterans and their families in times of need. We will pay this forward to others as much as we possibly can.
