Hard Working Father Missed Work Due To Sick Child: Need Electric Bill Help
My Story:
We are a family of six. I have a loving fiancé, who is a full-time student, and is also looking for part-time jobs, while I work full time as a sales manager for a bread company. We have fallen behind on a bill due to the fact I had to take off of work in order to take care of my daughter, who was in and out of the hospital, and missed being paid for an entire pay period. Over the past few months our electric bill fluctuated, and our current past due is higher than normal, as a result of the summer heat.
I am asking Modest Needs to assist us with our electric payment just this once. We are due to be disconnected and I have no savings to fall back on. Being unable to pay this bill is likely to cause our finances to spiral and lead to playing constant catch up. At this point, if I pay our electric, then I won't be able to afford rent, which in turn will cause us to lose our home. At the same time, having small children in the home, we cannot afford to lose power as the Florida heat can be brutal.
I am doing everything I can to catch up, but do not have the time to save up enough. If we are able to get this assistance from you, our family will be able to catch up and really even be ahead! Your help will literally change our lives! Thank you.
