Retired Policeman Injured on The Job Needs Help With Medical Bill Not Covered By Medicaid!
My Story:
My life goal has been to protect the citizens of my state as a deputy sheriff, and I served 10 years on the job. After suffering a severe back injury, I was placed on administrative leave without pay and underwent several surgeries to enable me to walk again. The job I loved so much did not invest in retirement, and due to the multiple surgeries I was no longer able to support my wife and kids. I lost my home and life, as I knew it. I currently survive on a fixed income and with help from Medicaid for my medical needs. For unknown reasons, Medicaid does not cover all of my mandatory medical expenses, and I am now behind on my pharmacy bill, for medications that are essential for my well-being.
I am asking Modest Needs to help me afford my outrageous medication payments which have piled up. This includes payments towards prescriptions necessary to maintain my diabetes, high blood pressure, heart, and CPAP supplies, among others. I am doing my best to keep up with it all, but it is difficult to know what insurance will cover, and that has led to a high past due balance which I can no longer afford. I am in fear that if I do not pay up, I will not be able to get my mandatory medicines, and that the worst might happen.
I would consider your assistance in this matter a true miracle. Words cannot express how thankful I would be, as you are my last hope. I have no one else to turn to, and hope that you find it in your hearts to assist me.
