Veteran With High Electric Bill Urgently Needs Help
My Story:
I am married and reside with my wife and two sons, who are aged 13 and 15. I am a disabled veteran, who goes to school full-time in a Workers Retraining Program through the VA, in order to become a Biomedical Engineer. My wife works in the insurance industry and has been the sole breadwinner in the summer months. I was injured in service and was medically discharged due to no longer being able to perform my physical fitness tests, and am working hard to enhance my employment opportunities.
I am turning to Modest Needs, because the summer months have been tough, since I have not been able to find employment during my time off form school. To top it off, our electric bill was very high due to the extreme temperatures, and we could just not keep up with it. Out account is now past due and I am afraid that our electricity will be shut off at any moment. I have been out daily job-hunting in order to supplement to our income, but have not been able to find anything. We will be doing better once I return to school and I plan to continue looking for a part-time job so that we do not fall into this situation again.
I have served in the capacity of being the one who is helping others in the past. I now am in need to have some help in order for my family and I to get back on our feet. Once we are over the hump, I hope to once again be in a position where we can help others. Thank you.
