How can I thank you enough for your selflessness to grant my application. It is so difficult to express how your assistance will help me in my time of need. I am a disabled senior living in a SAFE senior park, and now because of you, I will be able to stay. It is so frightening to think about homelessness at my age. The effects of your generousity carries over into my health. The less stress I experience, the better my blood sugar results become. So you see how awesome it is for me that you chose to fund my application. It also makes me feel hopeful about the future. Must Have All Teeth Extracted, Procedure Not Covered
My Story:
She is a 64-year-old disabled woman living alone in Morgan Hill, California. Sadly, due to her diabetes, all her teeth must be extracted. She suffers from many dental infections.
At this time, she is seeking assistance with her September rent as she was forced to use those monies to cover two extractions and diagnostic work ups that were simply not optional.
Depression over the loss of her teeth, worry about future dental expenses, and stress about whether to pay the rent or pay for the dentist is wearing her down. Being diabetic adds to the stress level. Her blood sugar readings are out of control when her teeth are infected, so she had no choice but to get the work done.
She is already struggling with health issues that are causing a loss in quality of life, but without assistance, she could also lose her home. But you can step up and step in to offer a helping hand by making a contribution to Modest Needs and using your points to vote that we fund this request. Once this application has 100% of the points needed, we'll immediately remit payment for the rent due. And afterward, you'll get a thank you note, in her own words, expressing how far your 'small change' went toward changing a life.
