I would like to thank all of you for you wonderful generousity in providing me and my wife with the timely assistance that we needed, but more than anything else my wife would like to thank you for restoring my faith that the good people of america are willing to sacrifice, because these are not the wealthy but the average american reaching out to help assist a fellow american who may have fallen on hard times and just need a hand up and not a hand out. Me and my wife have made a promise, after we are back on our feet to turn around and show that same generousity by contributing to Modest Needs a great organization that made it all possible to get my work tools so that I may help more people in need working with Easy does it emergency services where I will be making emergency service calls to regular citizens in need of will chair repair.

My Story:
He is an Oakland, California man living with his domestic partner who has been the bread winner for the two of them since he was laid off in May of 2009. He has recently taken a new job as a handyman, which is a wonderful development. Unfortunately, the tools he needs to begin work he lost when his belongings in storage were auctioned off.
Thus, he is seeking one-time assistance with the cost of new tools so that he can begin work and get his household in better financial shape.
He tells Modest Needs, 'We have cut back to one meal a day, as well as put off trips to see my 70 yr old Mom who lives alone in Arizona and is suffering from early Alzheimer's desease.'
But with help of the purchase of the tools he needs to work, all of that can change.
