New Job - Still Behind On Mortgage
My Story:
Please help a family of four. We have been struggling with very little income and recently have started drowning in our bills. My husband has been unemployed for over one year and has recently obtained a steady part-time, minimum-wage job to finally help our household get back on track. He also attempts to pick up other daily jobs through a labor temporary agency as often as possible.
I am still employed with my employer of 9 years, but our office has recently been relocated for the second time in a year due to prior building issues. I am now forced to use public transportation, and that has been an additional expense of roughly $150 per month. This, along with the rising prices of groceries and the unreasonable cost of gas, in addition to the year of being a one-income household, have put us considerably behind in our mortgage. We have fallen behind 'borrowing from Peter to pay Paul' to our absolute limit now and need additional help.
Any amount of assistance in paying our mortgage so that we don't face foreclosure would be sincerely and greatly appreciated. We have two young children, ages 3 and 6, and it is very important for us to keep a roof over their heads.
I know that there are angels out there and feel just horrible even asking when I know of the many other people even more less fortunate than ourselves. I just don't know where else to turn. Thank you for your time and consideration.
