I'm not sure I know where to start and saying 'Thank You' doesn't hardly seem enough but it's a start. I appreciate your kindness and the consideration you gave my application for assistance. I've been unable to pay my Gas bill and without your financial help and interest I would be without hot water and a furnace and yes...can you believe it, in Kansas City we are still experiencing cool nights in the low 40's? If I could meet each of you I would personally thank you all for seeing and recognizing my need and struggle to stay self sufficient. I give this advise daily; 'Make it a beautiful day' and I can say today is in fact MY beautiful day. Thank you from my heart and on behalf of my daughter.
Disconnect Notice from Gas Co
My Story:
I recently became a single mother, reducing our household income in half. My divorce was final in Oct. 2010. I have full custody of our daughter who will be five years old in June 2011.
I believed I was on the average pay plan for Missouri Gas Energy and have been paying monthly agreement. I have gotten a Disconnect Notice from Missouri Gas Energy indicating that my Gas Service will be disconnected which will leave us without heat or hot water.
I do not qualify for Low Income Energy Assistance by a mere $100 per week due to my average income and only one dependent. I do not receive food stamps or any other assistance and currently live on a fairly tight budget. I do not have the means to pay the amount due and I have contacted the area community resources for possible assistance but again I do not qualify.
As a social worker myself I am always helping those in need of resources but this time I am the one in need. I am hoping that Modest Needs organization can assist me with this financial obligation.
