This person has left the following thank you note:
I want to thank everyone who contributed towards assisting me and my family in our time of need. Your generosity and kindness is truly appreciated and I don't think I can accurately described just how much of a burden you have lifted from my shoulders. Bless all of you! I know others have probably said this before me but, it is nice to know that there are still people in the world who care about and are willing to assist others. Sincerely, M.
Missed Work: Need Mortgage Help
Dear perspective donor(s),
I am applying for assistance today because last spring my youngest son attempted suicide and shortly thereafter I suffered a breakdown and was subsequently diagnosed with Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Although, I continued working after diagnosis, I have continually missed time from work to seek treatment for my son as well as myself. Since the onset of each of our medical conditions I have used a total of 223.50 hours of leave (as of March 14,2011). My paychecks are fluctuating because I have exhausted all annual and sick leave, so at this point any time off is leave without pay.
I am a single parent and both of my sons have chronic medical conditions. My youngest son, who is the one that attempted suicide, also suffers from ADD and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD). My oldest son is legally blind. So, I have a lot on my plate so to speak. Under normal circumstances I am able to manage just fine, but because of the unexpected medical issues and time away from work, I am truly in need of assistance.
As a Persian Gulf Veteran, I am used to making sacrifices and offering assistance for others, so it is not easy for me to ask for help. I hope you can find it in your heart(s) to assist me and my children in our time of need. Thank you in advance for your kindness and willingness to assist.
