This person has left the following thank you note:

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my needs. I was greatly concerned about my family and our financial issues after the air conditioner froze up and leaked water onto my daughter's room floor. I had several sleepless nights here in Kuwait while they dealt with the details and I was unable to help being so far away. My wife also felt a great deal of responsibility thinking that perhaps this would not have occurred if I was at home to detect the problem sooner. Speculation filled her emotions with anger towards the military and my orders to deploy with the National Guard. I applied with modest needs and hoped for the best. I was able to check my email on a regular basis and received the daily updates. At first it seemed as if perhaps our request would not be funded, but as time went by I was greatly encouraged by the support we were receiving. As the donations began to increase my anxiety subsided. Now my request has been funded and I want to leave this very important message on behalf of my family to all of those who made this possible: Thank YOU!!

Deployed Soldier's Family A/C Flood

My Story:

I am a Soldier in the Florida National Guard deployed overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is my third deployment and particularly difficult because I have left behind my wife and my 1 year old daughter.

While I have been away, the air conditioner froze up in my home and flooded my baby's room, causing much damage and necessary repair. I have been fortunate to have some help so far with some of the bills but still owe the restoration company (my wife is researching the exact amount now and will return an accurate figure).

The restoration company is now calling my wife and requesting when they will receive payment, but we just purchased the home on Christmas Eve 2009 and have not yet saved up money to set aside for emergencies.

I am requesting this help so we may pay the restoration company (they did a great job) and can resolve my unsettled debt. Thank you for your help.
