I would like to take this time to say thank you for your donations from the bottom of my heart. I do not believe any of you can be aware of how much you have helped me. Most of the time I feel like I am trying to run in knee high mud with no hope of ever walking on solid ground. I feel like I am constantly playing catch up. But with your assistance, you have really helped. This bill is one less bill that I have to try to 'float' so things won't get disconnected. It is so disheartening to come home from a long day of work to find your utilities disconnected. And it is definitely heart breaking for your child to think that this is the norm. Single Mother Needs Help With Unusually Large Electric Bill To Prevent Disconnection!
My Story:
I am a single mom of a 7-year-old boy. His father is not in our lives. My son is currently being tested for the Autism Spectrum because he has been exhibiting signs of this. He goes to a Charter School, which is being closed, and I am now trying to get him into another school that may be more conducive to his educational needs and learning style. I work hard to support him, and earn just enough to cover our most essential needs.
I am turning to you to help me with a larger than usual electric bill. Not only was this winter colder and longer than usual, but my work was late on reimbursing me for my childcare expenses, and this delay further diminished my funds and caused a chain reaction. I am due to be disconnected over the requested amount and am terrified. I have no other means to come up with the funds lost.
Not being able to afford this expense has been completely demoralizing to me. It is very difficult having to ask for help, and I feel that at my age with a child I should be able to afford at least this basic need.
If you are able to help me pay my electric bill, you would be having a tremendous impact on me. I will be able to pay this bill from this point on, and work towards buying my son a new school uniform. In the long run I hope to become a donor to Modest Needs and pay this kindness forward. Thank you!
