Need Help to Pay for Cremation
My Story:
I am a woman who is on hospice and am to a point in my prognosis where I am forced to make final arrangements. I have decided to be cremated and have found a funeral home that is willing to give me what they call a 'Samaritan' fee for the services, which is discounted, as I do not have any family or much income.
My caregiver/fiance' lost his job last year and is now working less than part-time caring for me (paid for by the state). I am on disability, however it is only enough to pay basic living expenses. I worry about how I will pay for cremation services day and night and have lost sleep over it.
I do not want to ask for help, but I do not have any other resources or family to help. I never thought I would die young or be in this situation where I cannot even pay for myself to be cremated. I am asking for anyone who can help. God bless.
