Tech SupportHere you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding technical aspects of Modest Needs.
Visit our Login help page to retrieve them. The system will try to find your information based on the email address you enter in that form.
In order to apply for help from Modest Needs as an individual applicant, you must have an applicant account with Modest Needs. If you click our 'Apply for Help' link and receive a message that you cannot apply for help with the type of account you have, this means that you're trying to apply for help from, for example, a donor account.
To fix this problem, simply visit our registration page and create an applicant account for your household. Then, log in from THAT account to apply for help.
If already have an applicant account with Modest Needs, then be sure you're logged in to our system via THAT ACCOUNT'S login information, and not the login associated with, for example, a donor account.
In this case, please contact technical support and ask for your login information; please specify your full name and zip code in that message.
This can happen for two reasons:
In any case, please try tip #1 if you need to recover your login information. If that doesn't help, you're welcome to contact us directly, and we'll be happy to help you retrieve your login information.

If you receive this message, it means your account has been disabled. Typically, a user account is disabled because:
Modest Needs does not disable a user's account indiscriminately, but once it has become necessary to do so for one of these reasons, that decision is almost never reversed. However, if you feel that your account has been disabled by mistake, you should feel free to send a note to technical support and request that your account be reactivated.
The Modest Needs website is coded in compliance with official Internet programming standards. If you experience problems using or viewing the site, first make sure Javascript and cookies are turned on. If this does not correct the problem, it's probably because your browser is not fully compliant with those standards.
In this case, we strongly suggest you start using another browser: Firefox is our technical recommendation. It's free, blocks popup ads and is very standards-friendly.
If you still have problems, just send a note to Technical Support, and we'll do our best to help you.
