My Wife's Mom Died & Then We Paid Thousands to Save Our Cat's Life! Now We're Facing Shut Off!

My Story:

I am married with 2 beautiful kids. Our 8-year-old son loves to dance, and our 2-year-old daughter loves playing with her brother. I currently work as an overnight nursing assistant, so we can avoid paying for childcare. My wife is working at Apple but will have to find a new job soon, as she is going to be laid off.

We earn enough to live comfortably, but things have taken an unexpected turn. Unfortunately, my wife's mother just passed away, and since my mother-in-law lived in France, we had to pay for my wife to travel to Europe for the funeral. In combination with this expense, my wife lost valuable time at work as a result. Thankfully, I have been able to pick up extra shifts at my job to offset the airfare costs and compensate for my wife's loss of income, but then our cat had a health emergency. The vet bill was going to be thousands, so we had to choose to get her the care she needed or put her down. Amongst this, one of our vehicles broke down, and we could not afford both our car's repairs and cat's surgery. We chose to save our beloved cat, but in the face of everything else that has happened, we fell short on our usual bills.

I am humbly requesting assistance with our utility bills, so we can focus on our rent. We rent our apartment from a family member, so luckily, we have some leniency. Your act of kindness will ensure we can cook for ourselves and have running water while we come up with the money for our rent. We can grieve the loss of our kids' grandmother and maintain our financial stability. Your gift will get us through this dark time, so we can focus on being a happy family again.
