My Veteran Husband Keeps Us Afloat After My Disease Got Worse. Our Power Will Be Shut Off Soon!
My Story:
I am married to my amazing husband, and we have 1 son together. Our son is our entire world. My husband is a Marine Corps veteran and works full-time while I stay home to care for our house, animals, and son. Our family also includes a dog, two cats, and outdoor ducks.
I used to be the breadwinner of the house, but I was forced to leave my job in June for health reasons. I have an autoimmune disease that has progressively gotten worse, so I cannot work anymore. We cut out as many unnecessary bills as possible, but it is still a struggle relying only on my husband's income. I have had to pay more and more medical bills, and since our household's income has dropped dramatically, we had no choice but to put some things on the back burner until we are able to adjust. Our electric bill has not been paid for a few months, and we really do not want to lose power. Since we live in a rural, wooded area, losing power would mean that we could not communicate with the outside world at all when at home.
I am humbly asking for this one-time help with our electric bill, so we can get back on budget. My biggest fear is having our power shut off and having no way to cook our food. We have oil heating which requires electric, an electric oven, and no phone service without our WiFi. This act of kindness will prevent us from falling behind on our other regular bills and allow us to have our needs taken care of at home. Thank you so much for anything you can give.
