Disabled Couple - Storage Fees
My Story:
We need help to pay our storage expenses so that we can afford transportation expenses during our daughter's short-term illness.
We are a disabled couple - a male at age 74 and a female at age 65 with multiple health-related expenses. In order to be self-sufficient, we need help with a short-term expense.
Our recent move from New York to South Carolina really set us behind. Our washer/dryer set had to be replaced, reducing our funding for transport. Our daughter, who is widowed and a mother of four supplemented our transport expenses and some of the dryer payment expense. Our expenses were under control until the latest situation - the dryer failure.
Our daughter's health declined, causing her to need surgery with additional surgery due soon. This has left my husband and myself without transportation expenses to and from our medical appointments.
If we can pay off our our storage payment for our newly moved belongings until we can adjust everything within our living environment, we will be able to free up money for transportation expenses.
These funds would greatly increase our independence, self-worth, and preserve our dignity. I am seeking to be in pastoral services. I have had repeated weight gain and medical issues.
Once our daughter is back on her feet in a few months, we will be fine. We just need help during this surgery and recovery.
