Airline Ticket For My 14-Year-Old
My Story:
We recently lost our house due to foreclosure and were forced to move out of state to stay with a family member. As hard as it was and is, I had to leave my 14-year-old son behind. He has suffered so much in his life. It could traumatize him more by taking him from his father. Shortly after we moved, my husband started a new job in which he was laid off from within a month due to lack of work. Since he was only there for a month he could not get unemployment. We had already moved into our own apartment by then. We ended up getting behind on all of our bills.
He started a new job 2 weeks ago and we are slowly getting caught up on bills, but will have no money for Christmas. The best Christmas gift our family could get would be to have my son here with us. My children are my life and I don't think I can get through Christmas with one of them missing. My family will not have gifts, but I hope we will at least have each other.
