My Story:
I am a single parent of two; a 16 year old with special needs and a 9 month old. I was out of work due to medical reasons (high risk pregnancy). As a result I lost my job. I was receiving child support (out of court) so I was able to maintain my bills a little.
,br /> This past may my 16 year old was raped and her dad blamed me and stopped paying child support. He has not even called to check on her. As a result my rent fell behind. I was up for eviction three times but I got help from agencies and churches. I was able to catch up enough to stop the eviction but found my self in the same situation because my only income was $514.00. I am now $1500. in the rear. I just gave him $300.00 and I will be able to give the other $200.00 next week. I will just owe $1000.00 and I will be caught up and ont have to worry about me and my children being evicted with no where to turn.
I have a pay or quit notice. I just started working, but if I can get the rear paid I can maintain now that I have income. I just want to be able to provide a secure stable home for me and my children. We have been through a lot. my power was even turned off for three weeks during the heat wave this summer. I sat with my children in the dark, a ice chest to keep food and formula cold, and no hot water. God is good and always makes a way.
