This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have chosen to give sacrificially for a stranger. You are making a a difference to me and my family! As I sit here in our home, looking around and grateful that we will be able to keep it, I am hopeful that one day I will be able to give back as well. We are so thankful to you for your generosity and goodness. This confirms in my heart that people really do care about other people, people are good. You have been the hands and feet of God for us today and I can't thank you all enough! I pray that each of you gets your 'miracle' whatever it looks like for you, because this month, because of you, we got ours! Attached is a picture of my little girls sitting on the front porch of our home. Thank you again!

Mortgage Behind Due To Cancer

My Story:

I am a 30 year old stay at home mom with two beautiful daughters, Gracie, age 4 years and Trinity, age 16 months. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last September (when our baby was a newborn) and have gone through 4 months of chemo, a double mastectomy and 8 weeks of daily radiation. Last January, during my first 2 months of chemo, my husband was laid off from his dream job. He found another job that promised the same money and group benefits starting day one, which was a miracle for us. However, it was only about half the money promised and he was 'stuck' there in a job he hated, due to my treatments being covered with the great insurance. He made the sacrifice for me, and I am going to live. We took quite a financial hit for 7 months while I got through treatment. When I was finished, my husband was able to leave that terrible job and get a wonderful job in sales. He is going to be making money starting in October/November, but right now he is in training and only recieving $519 a pay period. Our house payment is $503.69, not including groceries, dr visit copays, utilities, diapers for our baby daughter, gas, insurance, and a car payment. I'm worried about falling behind on our biggest investment, our home. It's a small house, but it's all we have. We've owned it for three years and this year was the only year we were behind on any payments. I just need assistance this one time until we are back on our feet. We are hopeful that it will be in just a couple months! September is going to be a tough month, but our family has survived cancer and we will survive this! Thank you for your consideration.
