Help Family Repair Dangerous Vehicle

My Story:

I share a home with my wonderful husband of 17 years and two of our three beautiful daughters, ages 21, 16 and 6. I have been disabled now for about nine years. I have several medical issues that keep me from working. This has caused a great deal of stress on our family due to a lack of income. My husband has worked for the same company for 10 years as an Auto CAD / Drafter.

As the old tale goes when it rains it pours. Well it has been a monsoon around here. From a broken garage door, refrigerator that stopped working to our pump on our well running non stop and causing a water pipe to blow. My mother just underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer. I am having surgery on the 20th also with the possibility of cancer. In my belief I know God gives me no more than I can handle, and what ever happens it is always for His purpose.

But we just don't have the funds to cover any more repairs. We are in that in-between spot. We make too much income to receive any help, yet we don't have enough income to afford anything extra. My family and I are in desperate need to have our vehicle repaired. Each day seems to get more difficult not having this vehicle running.

I am asking the gracious donors of Modest Needs to consider helping my family with our automobile repairs. Our car is in need of a drive shaft and front wheel bearings. At this time our car is unsafe for our children and un-drivable to get my husband back and forth to work. I am sincerely hoping you will decide to help fund these repairs.

At this time we have actually used up all of our resources. We have tried borrowing the money and seeking help through our local Department of Human Resources without any success. After all of these repairs we are hoping to get our savings back on track for any new emergencies. We save as much as possible every pay check for just these types of expenses but, we have just had to many repairs all at the same time.

If Modest Needs funds our repairs for our car, we will be able to start saving again for other emergency needs. This will also save a lot of money not having to pay extra to get my husband back and forth to work and will take a great burden off of our shoulders. My family and I will be extremely grateful to all those who so graciously donated their money to help strangers in need. How blessed our we to find those who still care and love one another. Thank you all for finding it in your hearts to help my family or any family that is in need.
