Rent - Young Attorney Starting Out

My Story:

I am a young attorney just starting out. Previously, I was working at a temporary job that ended about a month ago. Fortunately, I located a GREAT opportunity a few weeks ago. The unemployment insurance from my last job has not been processed yet and is long over-due. It is not time for me to be paid from my new job yet because payment is usually at the end of the month and based on when payments are received from clients.

I would have liked to have counted on my tax return funds in a time like this, but due do not yet receiving the information from the previous employer, I cannot even count on paying my rent with my tax return money within the next week. It is the perfect storm of circumstances. I am behind in everything.

Most importantly though is my rent (so that I can have my peace of mind). I have received a notice to pay or quit. Having my peace of mind will let me focus on my new position and my clients' needs. I know that one day I will be a Modest Needs donor. Anything you can contribute would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
