Help with Rent: Prevent Eviction

My Story:

Dear Donors,

Just this last September, my son and I, were notified of an increase in our rent that we would not be able to afford, so we decided to find something more affordable. On October 7th 2010, we moved into a much smaller place, which cost us everything we had to move in. Shortly after moving in, my son was laid-off, and I had not worked for the previous six months due to a knee injury. We were able to pay our first, last, and second month's rent.

When it came time to pay the rent due on December 1st, 2010, we were unable to come up with the money. After my son lost his job he decided to enroll full-time in school. I have been taking online classes as well, since I injured my knee. I recently accepted a job and am able to return to work, but we need help with the rent for December, which is now 20 days late and we have received an eviction notice. Because I just recently returned to work, I will be able to make my rent due on the 1st of January 2011, but will not have enough to pay that and the rent for which I am behind.

We are most graciously asking for your help so that we can catch up and not lose our place again. My son is going to be a Psychology major, and I am very close to completing my general education and receiving an associates degree which will assist me with a much more substantial income. We have both worked very hard to have to start all over again. If there is anyway that you can help us, it would be very much appreciated and for a good cause.
