I can't even begin to explain what a tremondous burden that you have lifted, my husband is still out on disablity and now has been told that he will have to recieve surgery. Everyones kindness and generosity you have given saved us from losing out home and the stress of trying to transition my autisitc daughter into another persons home until we could get one. You are all a blessing to our family and it is really special to know that there are people who are willing to make sacrafices to help others. Mortgage Help-Short Term Disability

My Story:

My husband is out of work due to an injury of his hand (he cut his pinky with a saw, cut tendon in half and cut out 13 mm of nerve while doing repairs on our house). He had surgery to repair tendon and nerve graph, but it is undetermined when he will return to work. He has to go to physical therapy three times a week on top of doctor appointments.

My autistic daughter had a set back emotionally and now has to see her specialist weekly due to medicine changes and mental state. She is only 12. Our income is reduced due to my husband being on disability and now we have all of these doctor bills to pay weekly that are not usual. We fell behind on mortgage just trying to live with food and utilities. We were buying our groceries with credit cards, now we are going to the food bank and because our cards are maxed.

We did apply for mortgage foreclosure assistance and they said it is a six month waiting list, we have already received our letter of intention to foreclose. I went to the state for assistance and since they go by your gross income (pre-taxes and insurance payments) we make to much money they say for a family of four. I work full-time for the public school district as an instructional aide to children with disabilities and my adult daughter works part time and is currently trying to do college online.

We are in desperate need not to lose our house, this would be devastating to our family any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
