I've had a most amazing day - a need met, an answer to prayer, peace for my children, & a gift from heaven, no doubt. I am in tears for your generosity & would like to share this poem I found. It's beautiful. Please read to the very end. ~~ Angel Footprints in the Sand...God had shown me every footprint, Every step in life I'd walked. Each single separate footprint Of my life & path they talked. I noticed there in my footprints Ever so often, there were none. Until further they reappeared Again of life's path, they shone. It worried me in reflection, Wondering where I had been. For I was confused & bewildered Looking at them once again. I asked God about this Puzzled expression I worn. His answer made me beam That bright & thankful morn. At times when life was tough, I struggled & near gave in. Yet many gave me courage To walk, to fight & win. Friends & family carried me, They're angels from God too. At those times in my path, When footprints hadn't shown through. Soldier Water Pipe Burst
My Story:
I am a single mother of two, an elementary school teacher, and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve deploying to Kuwait in June of 2011. I am scared. I haven't known how to pay past due amounts and set up funds for my children while I am gone.
When our water pipe burst, I paid the enormous bill to prevent disconnect but there is absolutely no means left to pay my truck note. I woke in the middle of the night with the insane idea to Google 'single mom needs help with bills' and found Modest Needs immediately. I can't believe this amazing blessing provided by loving people.
Getting my delinquency settled means I can serve my children and country boldly and proudly and recover with means to help someone just like me. Romans 8:28, Psalm 37:7, & Joshua 1:9 are forever in my heart. I will not let my donor(s) down. I will not fail. Thank you, thank you, more than words can say, thank you......
