Disable woman needs van repairs

My Story:

Dear Modest Needs,

I am a 53 year old disabled woman, who has a limited income. I have worked hard all my adult life, and always was able to take care of all my needs and helping others. The greatest part of my independence has always been having my own transportation. For the first time in my adult life, I feel helpless, not being able to repair my own van.

It is very hard to depend on others, as so many are going through hard times of their own, and I do not want to be burden to anyone. This van has allowed me to be independent once again not only is it helping me, but I can also go and pick up others who are having hard times and help them, this makes me feel like I am giving back.

I am in need of repairs on my van, without this van I would not be able to be going to the doctors, grocery shopping etc. The radiator is going and each time I use the heat the radiator smoke a great deal, and leak antifreeze, so I am riding with no heat which is not good for my body in this cold winter, this is very bad for my disability, and leaves me in aches that is hard to explain. It would be a Christmas miracle to be able to have my van repaired
