Water Bill To Stop Eviction

My Story:

I am a single female age 31 and I currently reside in Atlanta, GA with my four kids ages16, 6, 3, and 4 months old. I am coming to you humbly to ask for your help. I need help with my utilities, which is water and sewer charges that I have fallen behind on. My landlord sent me an eviction notice because I am behind in my utilities so much. The reason I am so far back behind was because I had a water leak in my bathroom and I kept telling them that my toilet is broken and they promised to fix it for over 6 months.

At first the apartment manager told me not to worry about my water until they fix the problem, so about a month ago here comes new managers, and they are telling me they are not aware of the situation. So then every month that the bill wasn't paid they slap me with a $50 late fee. Now because I have not been able to pay this they sent me an eviction notice, which I think is so terribly wrong.

How can I get evicted over a water bill? Well, they are in the process of taking me to court and there is no way I can come up with that kind of money at this time. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read my story, but I please ask you to consider me because if we can get help with this it would be a huge relief for me and my kids. At this point I don't know what to do. I have 7 days to respond to the magistrate but once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
