First and foremost, I would like to thank each and every person who helped fulfill my application request and wish you and Modest Needs a very Happy New Year as you have brightened a very difficult year more than you may realize. Everything I own is in that cargo, including a library I have built up over 30 years and is virtually irreplaceable. Every stitch of clothing I own, files, photographs, memorabilia, etc..., etc..., is now closer to being returned to me. As mentioned in my application, I had to return to the US from Bulgaria as my Bulgarian husband became very abusive and I could no longer tolerate the beatings, etc... I had no idea there would be additional fees associated with the cargo when I shipped from Bulgaria back to the US and it became a nightmare. I still have not been able to find any work since I have returned and your gifts will bring me one step closer to retrieving all my possessions and to finally put the last two years behind me and begin anew. Storage charges - abused spouse
My Story:
I recently returned from Varna, Bulgaria to New York after being brutally abused by my Bulgarian husband. At the time of shipping and paying the cost of the cargo from Bulgaria to NY, I was completely unaware of additional warehouse fees on the NY end. The base charges are expensive and as of November 8th, the cargo began accruing DAILY storage fees.
Absolutely everything I own is in the cargo - all my clothing and all household effects (no furniture). I am so desperate, I am asking for any kind of help anyone may have to offer. Please help.
